CaptureMood 1.1.0 (Build 13)
Latest Release
A full Settings window, clear permissions, and collections you can actually manage.
NewSettings: Open Settings from the app menu or with ⌘, to set import defaults, performance, storage, backups, keyboard shortcuts, Apple Intelligence and privacy in one place.
NewKeyboard shortcuts: Change the keys for Pick, Reject, Next frame, Compare and Move to Trash. CaptureMood stops you from using one key twice.
NewScheduled backups: Back up the catalog each time you quit, once a day, or only when you ask, into a folder you choose.
NewSmart collections: Build rules for rating, flag, capture date, keyword and filename, and see how many frames match as you edit.
ImprovedCollections: Open, rename and delete collections, and make one from the frames you have selected.
ImprovedPermissions: CaptureMood says why it needs a folder before macOS asks, and Settings → Privacy lists every folder it can read.
FixedSmall windows: Every screen and sheet fits down to 1180 × 720 without cut-off text.
FixedCopy and paste: The Edit menu is back, so Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All work in every text field.
FixedMoving the catalog: A moved catalog now opens from its new place the next time you launch.
Verso 3.0.9
Latest Release
The Knowledge Galaxy rebuilt paper-first, on macOS, iPad, iPhone and Linux, so the map is read at three altitudes: regions, then hubs, then every note.
NewBounded regions: Each constellation is drawn as a real boundary with its name on a plate, and regions are spaced so no two ever cross.
NewAltitude: A Regions / Hubs / All notes control replaces the zoom percentage. Labels are named by rank at each step, and every note is named at the lowest.
NewThree kinds of star: Hubs wear a ring, linked notes are solid, stubs are a ring alone. Links are solid in their region's hue; echoes are dotted and neutral.
NewFollowing: Select a note and the map dims to its first degree, with a pill that names what you are following. The detail panel pins its header, and each connected note is one click on.
NewAccent-derived hues: The constellation colours are derived from the workspace accent, so a Cobalt or Rust workspace no longer looks purple.
ImprovediPad and iPhone: The legend and altitude sit in one bottom bar on iPad; on iPhone a tap pushes the note full screen, double-tap fits, and a two-finger tap steps out.
ImprovedLinux: The same regions, altitude, plates and panel on GNOME.
Verso 3.0.7
The Knowledge Galaxy redesigned so a workspace of hundreds of notes reads as a map, and made fast enough to open at once.
NewConstellations: Notes that link or echo among themselves form named regions, each with its own colour and halo. The legend isolates one region with a click.
NewLabels that earn their place: The most connected notes are named first, more appear as you zoom, and no label covers another. Titles come from the note's first heading.
NewFocus: Hover or select a note and only its neighbourhood stays lit. The detail panel lists connected notes, links before echoes, and each one is a step to the next.
NewFind a note: Type to light matching notes; Enter selects the first and centres on it. Fit, zoom and rebuild controls on the map.
NewLight mode: The map follows the app appearance with its own inked palette.
ImprovedSpeed: The semantic index is kept on disk and only new or edited notes are re-read, in parallel. The layout settles before the map appears and the canvas redraws only when you interact. Galaxy tabs restored from a previous session build on sight.
ImprovedLinux: The same map, panel, search and palettes on GNOME, with the build and file reads off the main thread.
Verso 3.0.2
Shortcut tooltips on the format rail, on macOS and Linux.
NewRail tooltips: Hover any key on the format rail and a pill opens on the inside of the workspace with the tool name and its keyboard shortcut.
ImprovedLinux rail: GTK tooltips now carry the shortcut and match the Verso theme.
FixedTooltip placement: The pill no longer opens past the window edge.
Verso 3.0.0
Galaxy View, provenance marking, syntax highlighting, and on-device semantic echoes with cadence analysis across macOS and Linux.
NewGalaxy View: The whole workspace drawn as a semantic knowledge graph. Documents cluster by meaning, links pull them together, and Back / Forward navigation carries you between the graph and the page.
NewProvenance: Mark a selection as Human / Typed or Pasted / Machine and keep a record of which words you wrote yourself.
NewSyntax highlighting: Highlight Markdown by category, switch categories on and off, and run a Style Check over the draft.
NewThe Orbit (Semantic Echoes): Surfaces connected notes across your entire folder using local embeddings without manual wiki-links or file format pollution.
NewVoice & Cadence Radar: Live analysis of sentence length variance, rhythm variety, adversative accumulations, short blades, and 27 banned AI slop markers to preserve authentic authorial tone.
NewResonance Shortcut: Open the Resonance Orbit sheet instantly with ⌥⌘R or click the ambient status capsule to jump directly between resonant drafts.
Verso 2.0.4
Raw Markdown and text commands for restructuring a document without leaving the keyboard, on macOS and Linux alike.
NewMove and duplicate lines: Move Line Up, Move Line Down and Duplicate Line carry a line or a whole selection through the document with the caret riding along.
NewHeading structure: Promote Heading and Demote Heading shift every touched heading one level, and Table of Contents writes a linked outline that refreshes in place on the next run.
NewList control: Toggle Task checks and unchecks items, Cycle List Type rotates plain text, bullets, numbers and tasks, and Renumber Ordered List repairs the counts per indentation level.
NewTables: Format / Align Table lines up every column and keeps alignment marks, and Convert CSV / TSV to Table turns pasted spreadsheet rows into a Markdown table in one step.
NewCleanup: Normalize Quotes & Punctuation brings typographic quotes, dashes and ellipses back to plain ASCII, and Strip Markdown Formatting reduces a selection to prose.
ImprovedWriting Tools on macOS: Apple Intelligence rewrites now leave fenced code, front matter, inline code, tables and link destinations untouched.
Verso 2.0.3
Untitled documents you can start typing in at once, a solid window chrome, and a fix for the freeze when a large watched folder changes.
NewWrite first, save anywhere: a new document opens ready to type. Save or Save As opens the system dialog and the file goes wherever you choose.
ImprovedSolid window chrome: sidebar and toolbar now render on solid design tokens, so wallpaper no longer bleeds through the window.
FixedFreeze on large folders: changes inside a big watched folder, such as your home folder, no longer lock up the window while Verso rescans it.
ImprovedLinux packages at 2.0.3: the AppImage and .deb builds carry the same background rescan fix, so the GTK window stays responsive while a watched folder changes.
Verso 1.0.3
Quick access from the macOS menu bar, refreshed document icons for clarity in Finder, and smoother folder monitoring.
NewMenu bar quick-access: A compact menu bar icon lets you view current document word counts and open your workspace with one click.
ImprovedHigh-resolution document icons: Markdown files associated with Verso now display crisp, distinctive icons across light and dark modes in macOS Finder.
FixedExternal drive monitoring: When editing files stored on external SSDs or network mounts, folder changes now sync instantly without manual refresh.
Verso 1.0.2
Typing latency reductions on high refresh rate displays and streamlined document previews.
ImprovedProMotion 120 Hz responsiveness: Reduced input latency when drafting long manuscripts on MacBook Pro ProMotion displays.
ImprovedDocument rendering: Text contrast and line spacing adjusted for improved reading comfort during long writing sessions.
FixedCode block scrolling: Long fenced code blocks in documents no longer cause jitter when scrolling past quickly.
Verso 1.0.1
Faster folder loading for large directories and seamless keyboard navigation.
ImprovedLarge folder scanning: Opening folders with thousands of Markdown documents is now twice as fast.
ImprovedKeyboard navigation: Pressing arrow keys moves focus cleanly between the sidebar folder tree and the editor pane.
FixedFile renaming: Renaming files with special characters now updates the open tab title immediately.
Verso 1.0.0
The initial release of Verso Markdown for macOS and Linux.
NewFolder-first editing: Open any folder on your hard drive. No proprietary database, no import step, and no vendor lock-in.

NewUniversal cross-platform access: One purchase provides native macOS builds and Linux packages (AppImage and Debian package for x86_64 and arm64).
Plain-language notes for every update. Clear explanations of camera format support, non-destructive sidecar adjustments, and color grading tools.
CaptureMood 1.0.0 (Build 11)
Siri and Shortcuts, Writing Tools for captions, and subject masks that find more than people.
NewSiri and Shortcuts: Say “Show my picks in CaptureMood”, “Rate this photo 4 stars in CaptureMood” or “Mark this photo as a pick in CaptureMood”. Ratings and flags are written to the photo’s sidecar, exactly as the keyboard does.
NewCull progress: Ask “How is my cull going in CaptureMood” for picks, rejects, five-star frames and what is still unrated.
NewWriting Tools for captions: The caption field wraps as you write and offers Apple’s Writing Tools. Names, copyright and keywords stay exactly as typed.
ImprovedSubject masks: Subject and Background masks now isolate animals, products, vehicles and buildings, not only people. Masks from earlier edits open unchanged.
FixedMetadata edits: Creator, copyright and caption edits apply to the selected photos, or the one on screen, and only change the fields you touched.
CaptureMood 1.0.0 (Build 9)
Direct offline licensing, Photos library browsing, and improved Develop mode color fidelity.
NewOffline licence validation: Register your licence key once in Settings; verification runs locally on your Mac with zero network calls.

ImprovedSidecar synchronization: Non-destructive edits write beside each file in plain text sidecars, allowing safe backup across multiple machines.
FixedFilmstrip flicker: Eliminated thumbnail redraw flicker when quickly browsing folders containing hundreds of RAW frames.
Plain-language notes for every update. Clear explanations of huge file streaming, in-place editing, and pipeline processing tools.
Marlin 1.0.0 (6)
Latest Release
A closed window comes back from the Window menu, and the Welcome window says what Marlin does today.
FixedReopen the window: on the Mac, closing the main window no longer leaves Marlin running with no way back. Choose Window > Marlin or press Command-0. New File, Open and Open Folder bring it back too.
ImprovedWelcome window: a new line on what Marlin does, the Command-K hint no longer cuts off, and Open Folder shows its real shortcut, Shift-Command-N.
Marlin 1.0.0 (5)
Open files follow edits made in other apps, and the status bar says when the file last changed.
FixedEdits made elsewhere: an open file now reloads when another app changes it, with no restart. Unsaved changes in Marlin are kept, and Save warns you before it overwrites the newer file.
NewLast modified: the status bar shows when the open file last changed on disk. Hover it for the full date and time.
Marlin 1.0.0 (3)
The project sidebar stays in step with the disk, and every toolbar button now says what it does.
ImprovedLive project folder: files you create, rename or delete in Finder, a terminal or another app appear in the sidebar within a moment, with no reindex.
ImprovedA toolbar you can read: Editor, Pipeline, Search and Diff sit in one labelled group, and Preview, Inspector and Assistant carry their names. On a narrow window the bar falls back to icons.
Marlin 1.0.0 (2)
Math typeset the way LaTeX sets it, every Mermaid diagram type drawn offline, a complete Markdown reader and editor, and a first window sized for your screen.
NewTypeset math: formulas in the Markdown preview get stacked fractions, proper radicals, full-size integrals and sums, matrices and aligned equations. Write $…$ inline or $$…$$ on their own lines; inline math sits on the text baseline.
NewEvery Mermaid diagram type: flowcharts, sequence, class, state, ER, Gantt, pie, mind maps and timelines draw in the preview, in light and dark. The diagram engine is bundled inside Marlin and runs with no network access.
NewMarkdown editing that keeps up: Return continues and renumbers lists, Tab lines up a table and moves cell to cell, a URL pasted over selected text becomes a link, and task boxes tick from the preview.
NewA reader worth reading in: document outline, adjustable size, serif and line spacing, callouts, a link checker, a rendered diff, and copy from the preview as Markdown source.
NewWord and RTF export: save the rendered page as a Word document or Rich Text, alongside HTML and PDF.
NewTry it in the demo project: markdown/math.md, diagrams.md and table-editing.md show each feature, ready to edit.
ImprovedA proper first window: Marlin opens at a comfortable size for your screen, up to 1600 × 1080, instead of the minimum size.
ImprovedForgiving math: TeX that does not parse still shows as readable text, so a typo never blanks a formula.
Marlin 2.0.8
Wrap Lines toggle, layout-heavy HTML detection with browser fallback, and updated cross-platform controls.
NewWrap Lines toggle: Switch soft line wrapping on or off via keyboard shortcut (Option-Command-L on macOS, Alt+Z on Linux), the command palette, or the status bar indicator.
NewSmart HTML browser routing: HTML files using scripts, CSS grid, flexbox, or positioned layouts automatically display an Open in Browser button and page title rather than a flattened preview.
ImprovedStatus bar controls: Wrap Lines toggle indicator integrated directly into the status bar next to the line and encoding indicators across macOS and Linux.
ImprovedGTK 4 editor soft wrapping: Linux editor view applies user soft wrap preferences instantaneously without redrawing the file buffer.
Marlin 2.0.6

A real folder tree with file management, images rendered in place, and nine colour themes.
NewFolder tree: folders sort first and collapse, open state is remembered per project, and the context menu adds New File, New Folder, Rename and Move to Trash.
NewImage viewer: PNG, JPEG, GIF, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and SVG open as pictures with fit and zoom, not as bytes. Hex mode is one shortcut away.
NewNine themes: Marlin, Graphite, Solarized, Nord, Gruvbox, Dracula, Monokai, One and Rosé Pine, each with a light and a dark face.
Marlin 2.0.1
Sandboxed terminal command-line helper and offline major 2 licence registration.

FixedWindow scale retention: Fixed window rendering scale when moving Marlin between Retina displays and external monitors.
Marlin 2.0.0
In-place editing for multi-gigabyte files, zero-RAM piece tables, and atomic file saving.
NewIn-place huge file editing: Multi-gigabyte files are no longer read-only. Double-click or press Return to edit lines, or Delete to remove rows, with full undo and redo.
NewZero-memory piece table: Edits are recorded in lightweight memory structures over the memory-mapped file; a 5 GB log file edits smoothly without exhausting your system memory.
NewAtomic stream saving: Modified files stream to a temporary staging file in 4 MB chunks and swap in atomically, preserving Finder tags, attributes, and file permissions.
ImprovedMixed line ending preservation: Preserves Windows (CRLF) and Unix (LF) line endings line-by-line automatically.
